I love surprises.
I have always loved surprises.
I love receiving them and I love giving them.
My husband is very good at surprising.
That is one of the reasons I fell in love with him.
He would leave sweet little notes in my car.
He would show up at my work with my favorite candy bar cooled to the perfect temperature- I like my chocolate cold.
Many times he would drive 2 1/2 hours late at night to surprise me with his presence in my dorm room!
He surprised me with a new car parked in the parking lot of my work on my birthday one year- it was a double surprise when I turned on the car and heard our song playing on the stereo!
Yes, he’s full of them.
And he’s teaching our children his sneaky ways.
It melts my heart when my 3 year old son walks in through the back door holding a bushel of weeds that he picked just for me.
And it brightens my day when my little missy plops on my lap to cuddle and lands a juicy kiss on my cheek.
The latest surprise was when I sent Caleb to the store for some milk.
I repeat, milk. Nothing else.
There was no room for anything else in the budget.
However, I have learned that when an evening full of fun requires an extra $10 spent, it’s so worth it for the budget to “budge” a little!
He comes home with my milk…and a big goofy grin.
He’s always up to something.
Caramels, green apples, and skewers.
Of course, caramel apples!
