The morning began perfectly.
I woke up to a clean house, enjoyed my warm cup of coffee, and was able to read a bit before the kids woke up.
We all got ready and out of the house, without any chaotic rush, by 8:00 am to get Mackenzy to school.
That’s really quite amazing.
We made a quick run to the grocery store after dropping her off- MUCH easier, let me tell you, than shopping with 3 children.
Thank you pre-school!
We headed back home, again, to my CLEAN house, and the boys were playing quite peacefully in their room.
So sweet.
I received a phone call shortly after from a friend I haven’t talked to in who knows how long.
I was having a great chat when the boys started to get just a tad too loud.
I stepped inside my bedroom and quietly closed the door.
First mistake made.
I continued to chat, ahem…gossip, when I heard a bang, a crash, and some rowdy boy laughter.
I was enjoying my adult discussion so much that I ignored it.
I knew they were playing with their toys, how much harm could be done?
Mistake #2.
I said a sad goodbye and walked out my bedroom door.
TO THIS:
Every single toy dumped out- these are the teeny tiny toys I swore I would never have for this exact reason!
Then, apparently, it was so much fun to dump out their hamper of stinky clothes…
And fill it with more useless toys!
Of course, it gets better. Why would they stop there?
Headed into the living room and found every book torn out of their baskets.
Some pages had even been torn out.
So much for clean house, right?
Give the boys a bone and they tear it right up!
Thank you my sweet boys.
