My little sis and her man…
It’s hard to belive that she’s taking this step in her life, it’s hard to believe that in just a few short months…
She’s getting married!
I remember us dressing up when we were little, pretending to get married.
Sometimes we took turns being the bride and groom…
But most of the time, she made me be the groom.
I have pictures to prove it.
We had lots of fun together, running around and using our wild imaginations.
Those were the good days.
I miss them.
I miss us dressing up our real life puppies in doll clothes.
I miss us creating parades of horses and Barbies that took up the entire length of the house.
I miss her making ME clean it all up.
I miss us laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe.
I miss cleaning up horse stalls and loving on our ponies together.
I miss us talking about boys and the one time you dated my old boyfriend
I miss driving you to high school as we blasted the speakers with every Mariah Carey CD in my car.
I miss pretending that we sang as good, if not better, than Mariah Carey.
But mostly…I miss our conversations when we went to bed at night.
We always shared a room, and slept in the same wooden bunk beds most of our lives at home.
Sometimes I hate that we ever grew up. I hate that I don’t get any time with you.
This though, is a different season! A very joyful season!
I love seeing who you have become and I’m so HAPPY that you have finally found a GOOD man.
I’m soooo excited to share this day with you, I cannot wait to see my baby sister in a gorgeous white gown.
And to you Kenny…
Thank you so much for taking care of my sis, I know you always will!
Love you both so much.
What a beautiful sunset session with none other than a newly engaged couple!
I am anxiously awaiting the wedding day…as I know it will be more than perfect.
My family has been very generously blessed with these two people in our lives. With the most caring personalities, they have graciously offered their love and support to our family. Always a pleasure to be around, and always giving an opportunity for a good laugh. My kids jump for joy at the sounds of their names and always get a kick out of their huge golden Labrador.
I am so happy to be a part of your journey this year…and I wish you all of the love and happiness you deserve!
I was so incredibly nervous this past weekend as I prepared for my first engagement shoot!
Lucky for me, I am friends with the couple and it helped that they were easy going with lots of ideas!
Their story begins in Chico when their friends had introduced them to each other in 2005. They realized they had an instant connection and have been dating for 6 years!
I’ll skip to the exciting part- the proposal!
Amber & Erik love fishing and took a weekend trip to their favorite fishing spot on the Sacramento River. They had camped out overnight and had been fishing all day just like they had done many times before. As the sun began to set, Amber was more than ready to head back home but Erik had a different agenda for the evening. He asked her if they could try once more to catch “the big one”, she sweetly agreed. He kindly baited her hook and she obliviously let her line out into the water. She then heard her name being called and turned to find Erik down on one knee with a gorgeous ring! She admits to “flipping out” and rambling off to the point where Erik could barely get his own words out! He finally asked the question and she replied with a loving hug. He then reminded her that she still needed to answer the question π So shocked she could barely say “yes!”
I just love proposal stories!
What Amber loves most about Erik:
– He is extremely kind and is willing to help out anyone at anytime.
– His dry sense of humor is a crack up!
– He’s intelligent, witty, and extremely humble.
Awe.
What Erik loves most about Amber:
– Her big beautiful smile
– The way she can light up an entire room with her fun and outgoing personality combined with sheer beauty! (he’s a keeper!)
– Her intellect and quick wit.
Wow! I’d say they are perfect for each other!
Congratulations Amber & Erik!
I wish you all the best!
